This week\u2019s\nblog is written by Sebastian. I wrote my previous blog post in the fall when I was\nplaced at AS-Faktor working in business development, but a lot has happened\nsince then. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After\nStockholm, I went to Unibake in Copenhagen where I worked on a project for\ntheir fast foods division. I looked at the northern European market for\nhamburger and hot dog buns to find out what opportunities Unibake have to\nexpand in the segment. Did you all know that Lantm\u00e4nnen Unibake is the market\nleader for fast food buns in Sweden with Korvbr\u00f6dsbagarn (read: MAX Friscobr\u00f6d)\nand has a big presence in Norway, Finland, and Denmark? I keep thinking that it\nwould be amazing if you could find our delicious buns all over the world\nthough. Well, maybe one day… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I am at Lantm\u00e4nnen\u2019s energy division, which just expanded by acquiring a British company\u2019s factory outside of Norrk\u00f6ping. We are famous for our imagination here at Lantm\u00e4nnen (not really), so we decided to call the new company \u201cLantm\u00e4nnen Oats\u201d, as the factory refines oats. The energy division also consist of \u201cLantm\u00e4nnen Agroetanol\u201d (ethanol), \u201cLantm\u00e4nnen Aspen\u201d (alkylate fuel), and \u201cLantm\u00e4nnen Reppe\u201d (gluten, starch, and drinking alcohol<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of joining one of these companies, I was fortunate enough to work with the energy division\u2019s management team in Stockholm. I am \u201cuppe i sm\u00f6ret<\/em>\u201d (\u201cup in the butter\u201d<\/em>), so to speak. On a daily basis, I am helping out where needed, but I am mostly working on a market analysis for starches and the integration of “Lantm\u00e4nnen Oats” into Lantm\u00e4nnen. I also get to sit in on a bunch of meetings to really understand what happens in a management team, which is really cool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, this post was supposed to be about the training we just had about change management, and not about me. The topic of change is both incredibly relevant and interesting. We got to learn about useful theories on change management, and lead change through simulations and real life scenarios. A lot of the issues we came across were very relatable, as they are issues we all continuously face in our projects. Change is truly a part of everyday life, at least here at Lantm\u00e4nnen, so learning how to deal with it will probably have some pretty fantastic consequences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took the time to excercise a lot during the training. Here Johanna is trying to kill us with a cross fit workout. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Learning\nabout change was great, but it wasn\u2019t even nearly as good as meeting up with\nthe whole trainee-gang at a vineyard in sunny Sk\u00e5ne. Summer finally arrived! We\nalways have a great time meeting up, and even if we learned that there perhaps\nis a reason to why Sweden isn\u2019t famous for wine, the beautiful scenery along\nwith the company made these three days absolutely amazing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
