Last week I participated at Handelsr\u00e5dets workshop about innovation in retail,\nwhere people both from the industry, the government and academia joined to discuss\nthe future within retail. The dynamic group really generated good and\ninteresting discussions with many different perspectives \u2013 it\u2019s really interesting\nto be a part of discussions where the competences are so different. The discussed\ntopic\u2019s was about a seamless commerce, sustainability and also the need of\nraising the importance of retail in our society. The trade sector accounts for\n11% of Sweden\u2019s GDP and 1 of 5 young and foreign born get their first job within\nthe retail sector, which means that this sector is an important employer in social\nperspective. The focus area for this year\u2019s event was public health. What can the industry do to contribute to good healthy lifestyles, spread evidence-based knowledge about food and health, create more food joy and simply help people feel better? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"853\" src=\"http:\/\/www.traineebloggen.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/traineebloggen\/2019\/05\/IMG_2019-05-14_16-49-40-1024x853.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7669\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.traineebloggen.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/traineebloggen\/2019\/05\/IMG_2019-05-14_16-49-40-1024x853.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.traineebloggen.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/traineebloggen\/2019\/05\/IMG_2019-05-14_16-49-40-300x250.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.traineebloggen.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/traineebloggen\/2019\/05\/IMG_2019-05-14_16-49-40-768x640.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>The winners of &#8220;\u00c5rets Livsmedelsexport\u00f6r&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One exciting thing during the day was the award of the prize\n\u201cFood Exporter of the Year\u201d where Viking Malt was the winners who is partly\nowned by Lantm\u00e4nnen. Viking Malt has an export share of 80 % and annually\nexports 600&nbsp;000 ton Swedish malt to breweries and distilleries worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In between the exiting events I\u2019m still mapping up the value chain for oats \u2013 it is incredible how much you can do with oats and how many health benefits there are with oats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have a great week everyone and until next post, eat some oats &#8211; it&#8217;s good for you! <br><br>Best Regards,<br>Moa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PS.
